With King Cove, AK being home base for our boats this is where employees are expected to travel. Given the remote nature of this place travel options are limited.
It is recommended you follow these guidelines:
- It is suggested you have an Alaska Airlines mileage plan. This will allow you to save money at times by booking mileage tickets.
- The only option for flying to King Cove is Anchorage to Cold Bay to King Cove.
- When using a mileage ticket, the farthest point you will be able to reach is Cold Bay.
- Cold Bay to King Cove is operated by Grant Air (1-888-359-4726 or 907-532-2055) or Eider Air (907-497-2683)
- Anchorage to Cold Bay is operated by Penn Air (1-800-448-4226) and can also be booked through Alaska Airlines
- It is suggested to purchase a one-way ticket. If you purchase a round-trip fare, make sure it is changeable.
Please review the crew contract, this will need to be signed when you reach King Cove. Please note that only AT&T and GCI cell phones work in the region.
